Russ Peterson’s Big Band — Swing is in the Air

Kick off the new Sounds for Summer concert series with music from the Big Band era featuring 16 of the area’s outstanding musicians and singers. The band will present several new arrangements of your favorite songs. Featured vocalists will be Maud Hixson and Bob Glenn.

SEATS is an original musical revue celebrating the long awaited installation of new seats at the Old Log Theater. Jorja Fleezanis, Violin, with Karl Paulnack, Piano

Monday, July 5, 7:30 p.m. The best Dixieland band in the Midwest is made up of six accomplished musicians playing a total of 18 different instruments that will guarantee an evening of great music and fun.
Sopranorama Monday, July 12, 7:30 p.m. This area’s top sopranos, Janis Hardy, Maria Jette and Molly Sue McDonald, perform a wide range of favorite music from show tunes to the classics. The trio will be accompanied by pianist and accordionist Dan Chouinard.
Charles Lazarus Jazz Quintet
Monday, July 19, 7:30 p.m.
A featured trumpeter with the Minnesota Orchestra, Charles Lazarus has expanded his vast talent into the jazz genre with stunning success. The quintet will perform a number of Lazarus’ own compositions as well as traditional jazz themes.
Tonic Sol-fa

This group of outstanding jazz musicians is led by clarinetist Dick Ramberg and includes Reuben Ristrom, Steve Pikal, Tom Andrews and Tom Chepokas. The Dick Ramberg Five plays traditional and Dixieland jazz the way it was meant to be played.
Jazz American Style

Vocalists Lee Engele, Diane Ristrom, Dan Ristrom and Reuben Ristrom will present an evening of hits from the great jazz eras. The band includes Steve Pikal on bass, Dale Mendenhall on sax, Jimmy Hamilton on piano, Nathan Norman on drums and Reuben on guitar and banjo.
